Dubai to Welcome Landmark 25th Airport Show in May 2026

Date:

“Global aviation companies to showcase next-generation air traffic solutions at DWTC”

Dubai will host the 25th edition of the Airport Show at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) from May 12 to 14, 2026, bringing together leading aviation companies from across the globe.

The three-day event will highlight the latest innovations in air traffic management (ATM) and air traffic control (ATC) systems, specifically designed for Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) and airport operators.

More than 150 exhibitors from over 30 countries are expected to participate. Organisers anticipate over 7,000 visitors, including 120 hosted buyers, making the show one of the region’s largest gatherings for the airport industry.

The event will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Airports.

Focus on Smarter Skies

Airports across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia are investing heavily in upgrading their air traffic systems. With passenger numbers rising steadily, airports face increasing pressure to manage more flights safely and efficiently.

Global passenger traffic is projected to reach 5.2 billion in 2026 and is expected to surge to 17.7 billion by 2043, with aircraft movements reaching 149 million by that year. In the Middle East alone, passenger traffic is forecast to exceed 240 million in 2026.

To keep pace with this growth, airports are increasingly adopting digital systems powered by artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data analytics. These technologies enable real-time monitoring of air traffic patterns, improved management of aircraft spacing, and enhanced airspace safety.

The Middle East, with roughly 110 airports and one of the fastest-growing air travel corridors in the world, has been steadily modernising its air traffic infrastructure to maintain its competitive edge.

Industry Leaders to Share Insights

The Airport Show will also host a series of co-located conferences, including the Global Airport Leaders’ Forum, Airport Security Middle East, the ATC Forum, and the Women in Aviation Middle East Conference. This year will mark the ninth edition of the ATC Forum.

May Ismail, Event Manager at RX Middle East, organisers of the Airport Show, said: “AI and Big Data are transforming air traffic management (ATM), making it smarter, safer, and more efficient. Airport Show 2026 will highlight the world’s leading ATM and ATC solutions, helping the Middle East and surrounding regions remain at the forefront of aviation innovation.”
