Drivers on the E11 corridor urged to plan for longer journey times amid heavy traffic.
Dubai: Motorists travelling between Dubai and Sharjah are experiencing significant delays this morning, with heavy congestion affecting several key routes.
The most severe traffic is reported along Al Ittihad Road (E11) near Al Nahda and Sahara Centre, with queues stretching towards Al Qusais. Heavy congestion is also affecting Al Qusais Industrial Areas 10 and 17, while traffic is building around Muwaileh and the University City area.
Motorists travelling through Deira are also facing longer journey times, with slow-moving traffic reported near Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood and Al Jafiliya on routes towards Bur Dubai.
Elsewhere in Dubai, heavy traffic has developed on Al Khail Road near its intersection with Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311). Motorists are also facing slow-moving traffic along Umm Suqeim Street through Al Barsha South and on Al Ain-Dubai Road.
By comparison, the outer sections of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) remain largely free-flowing.
Motorists travelling along the E11 corridor and other congested routes are advised to allow additional time for their morning journeys and consider alternative routes where possible to avoid delays.
