Dubai-Sharjah commuters: Emirates Road lane to close starting February 19.

The UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has announced that the lane on Emirates Road from Dubai toward Sharjah at Bridge No. 7 will be closed starting Thursday, February 19.

The ministry explained that the closure is part of ongoing development and enhancement works on Emirates Road.

The authority has urged motorists to take alternative routes to minimize disruption to their commute. Drivers are also advised to follow traffic instructions and safety regulations to ensure smooth traffic flow and the safety of all road users.

Earlier in February, the ministry announced that the main Emirates Road at the Al Badi intersection, heading toward Dubai, would be closed. Additionally, the distribution road will be shut, with traffic diverted to Al Hooshi Bridge on Maliha Road westbound.
