Dubai Municipality clarifies ‘Drive Gum’ does not contain alcohol

Date:

Dubai Municipality has denied rumours about a chewing gum containing alcohol, in a statement issued on Wednesday.

DM took to social media this morning to rubbish the authenticity of a video posted online about the energy gum ‘Drive Gum’ containing alcohol.

‘We confirm that this product is registered with Dubai Municipality, fits the standards, and is free of any alcoholic substances’

DM clarifies that the gum in fact contains sugar alcohol – a sugar alternative – and not alcohol.
