Explore 30 days of free fitness classes, outdoor workouts and activities across Dubai.

Thirty minutes of physical activity every day for 30 days – that’s the simple concept behind the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC), which returns for its 10th edition from October 31 to November 29.
And you don’t have to spend an hour running on a treadmill to take part. The challenge offers plenty of ways to get moving, from kayaking, sailing and beach workouts to sound healing, dance sessions, cycling and interactive fitness games.
With three free Fitness Villages and more than 30 Community Fitness Hubs set to open across Dubai, residents can explore different activities without committing to a gym membership. Here are some free options to consider adding to your schedule.
1. Enjoy Pilates with a sea view at Palm West Beach
Why work out indoors when you can exercise alongside the Arabian Gulf? The West Beach x Wellfit and Boxica Fitness Hub is hosting free morning and evening fitness sessions at Palm West Beach from October 31 to November 29.
Participants can choose from a range of classes, including yoga, Pilates, LIFT, IGNITE, Les Mills, Wellrun and family workouts. Morning sessions are scheduled between 6am and 9.30am, while evening classes run from 5pm to 7.45pm.
There is no need to book in advance or have a gym membership. Visitors can simply turn up, sign a waiver and join a class, subject to availability.
2. Practise yoga beside Dubai Aquarium
Yoga takes on a different feel with Dubai Mall Aquarium as the backdrop. Veo Fitness is organising a free yoga and sound healing session on October 31.
It’s an opportunity to enjoy a more relaxing start to the weekend, with a setting that offers a change from the usual fitness studio.
3. Take your workout into the water
If swimming and water-based activities appeal more than traditional gym sessions, several DFC hubs have aquatic fitness options on their schedules.
Veo Manzil in Downtown Dubai will host AquaFit on November 7, from 5pm to 7pm. On November 14, between 9am and 11am, Veo Meadows and Veo Arabian Ranches 2 will offer AquaFit alongside yoga and cycling sessions.

7. Dance, cycle and unwind at Address Sky View
Veo Fitness is bringing its wellness programme to Address Sky View on November 8.
The morning session runs from 7am to 8am and combines Hatha yoga with sound healing. It’s an opportunity to stretch, relax and ease into Sunday at a slower pace.
