New partnership offers Dubai residents and visitors another convenient way to purchase nol cards.

Dubai: Residents and visitors can now purchase nol Travel Cards at selected Al Ansari Exchange branches, providing commuters with another convenient way to access Dubai’s public transport payment system.

Al Ansari Exchange has partnered with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in collaboration with MDX Technology Solutions ME, to offer nol Travel Cards at selected branches across the city.

The initiative expands the network of outlets where residents and tourists can purchase nol cards, while adding the transport payment product to Al Ansari Exchange’s growing portfolio of third-party services.

Al Ansari Exchange, a subsidiary of Al Ansari Financial Services PJSC, operates one of the UAE’s largest exchange-house branch networks.

The company said the partnership is part of its strategy to develop a connected physical and digital ecosystem that gives customers access to a broader range of financial, payment and everyday lifestyle services.

How nol works

The nol Travel Card enables cashless payments across Dubai’s public transport network.

It can be used on the Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, public buses, marine transport and for public parking.

Beyond transport, the card is accepted at more than 14,000 retail outlets across the UAE. Through the nol Pay app, cardholders can also access more than 200 lifestyle offers and discounts.

Musad Ibrahim Alhammadi, director of Automated Collection Systems at RTA’s Corporate Technology Support Services Sector, said the additional distribution channel would help make mobility services more accessible.

He said expanding the availability of nol Travel Cards through strategic partnerships supported RTA’s efforts to make mobility services more accessible across Dubai.

He added that offering more distribution channels could encourage greater adoption of digital payment solutions while enhancing the travel experience for residents and visitors.

Al Ansari expands

For Al Ansari Exchange, the partnership forms part of a broader strategy to expand its services beyond traditional remittance and foreign exchange offerings.

Ali Al Najjar, chief executive officer of Al Ansari Exchange, said changing customer expectations were prompting the company to broaden its offering by bringing financial, payment and lifestyle services together across its branches and digital platforms.

“As customer expectations continue to evolve, we are expanding the role of Al Ansari Exchange beyond traditional financial transactions by bringing together financial, payment and everyday lifestyle services through both our branch network and digital platforms.”

He said making nol Travel Cards available through Al Ansari’s branches “complements our broader strategy of creating a seamless customer experience” while supporting Dubai’s vision of becoming a smart, digitally connected city.

The nol partnership comes as Al Ansari continues to broaden the range of services offered through its branch network.

The company recently marked the 10th anniversary of its partnership with Dubai Municipality, under which individual and corporate customers can pay government service fees at Al Ansari Exchange branches across the UAE.

According to the company, annual Dubai Municipality collections processed through Al Ansari have increased by approximately 710 per cent over the past decade.

In April 2026, Al Ansari also expanded its partnership with Etihad Credit Bureau, enabling UAE residents to obtain personal credit reports directly from more than 285 Al Ansari Exchange branches across the country.

Meanwhile, Al Ansari Financial Services reported a 28.7 per cent decline in first-half net profit to Dh151 million, as geopolitical pressures, weaker activity across some remittance corridors and intensifying competition weighed on profitability.
