Dubai-based Indian billionaire donates Rs250 million to Modi’s Covid-19 fund

Consul-General of India in Dubai thanks tycoon for his generous contribution.

Chairman of Lulu Group, MA Yusuffali on Thursday contributed Rs250 million (25 crores) to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM-CARES) to combat coronavirus.

“I have humbly contributed INR25 Crores to the PM Cares Fund to support all relief works in India’s fight against the COVID-19,” Yusuffali said in a tweet.

Responding to the generous gesture, the Consul-General of India in Dubai tweeted:

‘Thank you Yusuf saab in particular on behalf of every Indian in Dubai and Northern Emirates. You have always contributed handsomely to community activities. Vipul, Consul General’
