Drone strikes by Iran target fuel depot at Kuwait airport

Civil aviation officials report that drone strikes sparked a fire at the airport, with no casualties reported.

Dubai: Kuwait’s General Civil Aviation Authority reported that Iranian drones struck a fuel depot at Kuwait International Airport early Wednesday, sparking a fire at the site.

Spokesperson Abdullah Al Rajhi told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that initial assessments indicate the damage is limited to material losses, and no casualties have been reported.

Authorities said emergency protocols were immediately activated, with firefighting teams and relevant agencies mobilised to contain the blaze.

Efforts are ongoing to secure the site and evaluate the full extent of the damage.
