Coronavirus: We feel safe, say UAE residents.

Residents have been educated on the proper handwashing techniques that will keep the virus at bay.

Advanced medical facilities, well-sanitised public amenities and overall cleanliness help residents feel safe in the UAE amid the spread of Covid-19.

 Across-section of tourists and residents in Dubai who said that even if they do get infected by the disease, the country’s medical facilities will provide them with advanced facilities for a cure.

Furthermore, residents have been educated of the proper handwashing techniques and the importance of using hand sanitisers that will keep the virus at bay.

Inspected several public spaces, such as metro stations, shopping malls, tourist attractions, parks and beaches, and found them filled with tourists and residents. For example, the Bur Juman shopping mall was teeming with shoppers. All respondents Khaleej Times interacted with are following proper handwashing and sanitising protocols. Here are some of the top comments:

Ailene Aceron, Dubai resident from the Philippines, said: “I’ve been here for three years and I am not really worried about the Covid-19 outbreak. I drink eight glasses of water every day and eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables rich with immune boosters.”

Ahmed Ismail, Egyptian expat, said: “I’ve been a Dubai resident for four years. I feel very safe here. I just completed the contract term at my company, but I must say they took very good care of us. We had very good health insurance and access to top-quality healthcare facilities. I also take care of my hygiene. I wash my hands, use a sanitiser, take care of myself and in my apartment, I disinfect it all times and we keep our living spaces very clean.”
