Date:

Various institutions are discussing with their employees to see how distance working or work from home can be conducted.

There are some arrangements from the government to allow employees of some institutions to work from home for their safety amid fears of the spread of Covid-19, according to a government official.

Seif Jumah Al Dhahiri, official spokesperson for the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, told a gathering that efforts were under way in cooperation with various institutions to ensure readiness for distance work from home.

“Various institutions are discussing with their employees to see how distance working or work from home can be conducted,” he said.

Al Dhahiri noted that the authority, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, has already succeeded in implementing the distance learning initiative for students following the announcement to suspend schools for four weeks from next Sunday for the safety of students.
