Dr Anwar Gargash warned on Thursday that attempts to impose new geopolitical realities on GCC states through acts of aggression would be counterproductive and undermine long-term regional stability.
In a post on X, he argued that such aggression cannot be used to reshape the Gulf’s strategic balance, adding that any forced “fait accompli” would not lead to stability but instead sow further discord and future conflict across Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
“Anwar Gargash wrote that treacherous aggression cannot be used to impose new geopolitical realities on Gulf Arab countries.”
He added that imposing a new status quo through aggression “does not lay the foundations for stability but instead sows the seeds of future discord and conflict.”
Anwar Gargash said this warning is particularly relevant to the Strait of Hormuz, highlighting its critical importance to Gulf security and regional stability.
