Air Arabia to launch five weekly non-stop flights from Sharjah to Gdansk starting December 14.
Dubai: Days after launching direct flights to Katowice from Sharjah, Air Arabia announced on Tuesday that it will further expand its Polish network with the addition of Gdansk.
The new non-stop service between Sharjah International Airport and Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport will commence on December 14, 2026, with five flights operating each week.The new route will strengthen Air Arabia’s presence in Poland, with Gdansk becoming the airline’s fourth Polish destination served from Sharjah.
Four citiesGdansk will join Air Arabia’s existing services from Sharjah to Warsaw Chopin and Krakow, along with the upcoming Katowice route, which is also set to launch in December.
According to the airline, the addition of Gdansk will offer passengers direct connectivity between Sharjah and major destinations across Poland, while strengthening tourism, business and economic ties between the UAE and Poland.

“The new service reflects our commitment to connecting Sharjah with key international destinations while offering our customers reliable and value-driven travel options.
”The new route is also expected to strengthen travel and economic ties between the Gulf and Poland’s Pomerania region, where Gdansk is located on the Baltic Sea coast.
Tomasz Kloskowski, President of the Management Board of Gdansk Airport, said the direct service could support the regional economy by encouraging business cooperation and trade, while also helping attract investors from the Middle East to Pomerania.
“It will also boost two-way tourism, attracting travellers from Gdansk to the Arabian Peninsula while bringing more visitors from the Gulf to Pomerania,” Kloskowski said.
He added that past experience had shown that tourists from Gulf countries contribute “significant value” to the local tourism sector.
“With its cooler summers and access to the Baltic Sea, the Tri-City and Pomerania are becoming increasingly appealing holiday destinations for these travellers,” he said.
The Gdansk service comes as Air Arabia continues to expand its European network from Sharjah.
Air Arabia’s European network includes destinations such as Milan Bergamo, Munich, Vienna, Athens, Prague, Krakow, Warsaw Chopin, London Gatwick, Rome, Frankfurt and Katowice.
The airline operates a fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft across its network.
