Authorities have repeatedly warned residents during similar incidents, assuring that the booming sounds heard across the Emirates were the result of successful air defense interceptions.

Abu Dhabi authorities confirmed that six people were injured Thursday afternoon when drones were intercepted in the Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD) area.
Abu Dhabi authorities reported that shrapnel fell at two sites in the ICAD 2 area after air defenses successfully intercepted a drone, resulting in minor to moderate injuries to six workers of Pakistani and Nepalese nationality.
UAE authorities have repeatedly alerted residents with sirens during similar incidents, emphasizing that the booming sounds heard across the Emirates are caused by successful air defense interceptions. Relevant teams continue to monitor the situation closely and are taking all necessary measures to ensure public safety. Residents and visitors are advised to rely only on official sources for accurate updates.
On March 4, the UAE Ministry of Defence reported that since the start of Iranian aggression on February 28, the UAE Air Force and Air Defence Forces have tracked and responded to:
- 189 ballistic missiles detected, 175 destroyed by air defences, 13 fell into the sea, and 1 landed on UAE territory.
- 941 Iranian drones detected, 876 intercepted, with 65 falling within UAE territory.
- 8 cruise missiles were detected and destroyed, causing some collateral damage and 3 fatalities among Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi nationals.
The Ministry added that 78 people were injured, including residents and nationals from the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, and Afghanistan.
Authorities urged the public to rely only on official sources for information and to avoid spreading rumours or unverified reports.
