Abu Dhabi Comedy Season 2026 starts in October, with Russell Peters set to headline the opening shows.

Get ready for an autumn filled with laughter as Abu Dhabi Comedy Season returns for its third edition, featuring an expanded line-up of international comedy stars.
The comedy showcase will begin in October at Etihad Arena, Yas Island, bringing some of the biggest names in stand-up to Abu Dhabi.
Leading the newly announced line-up is Palestinian-American comedian Mo Amer, who will take the stage on November 6. Born in Kuwait to Palestinian parents, Amer has gained international recognition for his semi-autobiographical Netflix series Mo, which follows a Palestinian refugee navigating life while seeking asylum in Texas. The series received a Peabody Award and was recognised among the best shows of 2022 by The New York Times and New York magazine.
Known for combining personal experiences with insightful humour on themes such as immigration, identity, and belonging, Amer has established himself as one of the most distinctive voices in modern comedy.
Joining the line-up is Iranian-American comedian Maz Jobrani, who will perform at Etihad Arena on November 7. A trailblazer for Middle Eastern representation in comedy, Jobrani has built his career around transforming immigrant experiences, cultural differences, and family dynamics into humour that connects with audiences worldwide. His performances explore the meeting point between Eastern and Western cultures while using comedy as a way to bring people together.
Previously announced acts include Canadian comedy star Russell Peters, who will perform on October 11, and Los Angeles-based comedian and musician Morgan Jay, who takes the stage on October 25.
One of the most successful stand-up comedians globally, Peters rose to international fame through his Comedy Now! special and went on to sell out major venues including Madison Square Garden, London’s O2 Arena, and Toronto’s Air Canada Centre. His comedy is recognised for its mix of observational humour, audience interaction, and cultural satire.
Meanwhile, Morgan Jay has built a worldwide following with his unique combination of crowd work, improvisation, and live music. A former semi-finalist on NBC’s Bring the Funny, Jay is known for creating spontaneous performances that often include audience participation and musical comedy elements.
Organised by Live Nation Middle East in partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Miral, Abu Dhabi Comedy Season 2026 will feature performances from acclaimed comedians Mo Amer, Maz Jobrani, Russell Peters, and Morgan Jay, with additional acts expected to be announced in the coming months.
