Ministers express solidarity with the UAE as discussions focus on advancing peace and safeguarding trade routes.

ABU DHABI: Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed regional developments in phone calls with several foreign ministers from allied and friendly nations, following the recent unprovoked Iranian missile attacks targeting the UAE and other partner countries.
The calls were held with Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia; Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Jordan; and Fernando Aramayo, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bolivia.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and the ministers reviewed the latest regional developments following the announcement by US President Donald Trump of a conditional two‑week ceasefire between the United States and Iran, aimed at halting hostilities and opening space for diplomatic negotiations.
During the discussions, Sheikh Abdullah emphasized the importance of securing Iran’s full commitment to an immediate halt of all hostile actions in the region, the complete and unconditional reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and the cessation of threats to freedom of navigation, international trade, energy security, and the global economy.
He also expressed his gratitude to the ministers for their countries’ solidarity with the UAE, reaffirming the safety and security of all residents and visitors in the country.
The calls further highlighted the need for coordinated international efforts to achieve lasting peace in the region, benefiting its people and strengthening regional security and stability.
