Imams will read only two verses from the Holy Quran.

The General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments has called on all Imams of mosques in UAE to follow necessary precautions during the Friday prayers in light of the Covid-19 coronavirus.

The authority has said that Imams should read only two verses of the Holy Quran, reading the exact speech and dua mentioned in the speech letter the receive, stressing that the prayers should not exceed 10 minutes.

The circular explained that such steps will help in reducing the possibility of spreading the virus, stressing that prevention is better than cure.
