Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) is currently investigating an incident in a school where a number of students were reportedly locked up for not paying fees,

The pupils were allegedly held in the gym of an international curriculum school on Tuesday, February 11.

Dubai Police officials were called in but it remained unclear what exactly prompted the police action. An informed source said school authorities called the cops following aggressive behaviour displayed by parents on the campus.

Reports of the incident indicated that a police patrol from the Qusais station arrived at the school after receiving complaints.

Authorities said they have gathered information from the students, parents and school administrators for further legal procedures.
