The Abu Dhabi eatery was deemed a public health risk.

A bakery in Abu Dhabi has been closed for flouting hygiene rules.

The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority shut down Panaderia Bakery in Abu Dhabi, according to local media reports.

The bakery was closed for violating ADAFSA’s Law No. 2 (2008) and was deemed a risk to public health.

The law emphasizes on consumer protection and ensuring food safety – whether imported or handled locally – in the emirate, as well as the responsibility of the private sector in ensuring the highest standards of food safety and the role and mandate of food inspectors.

The bakery can only reopen after taking corrective measures that meet quality standards as per UAE law.
