Man misses, wife boards flight that killed all passengers

Date:

Mohsen learned of the crash from inside the airport.

A man was left stranded at the airport after a ticket mix-up, while his wife boarded the fatal flight which would crash after being shot down by Iranian missiles.

According to metro UK, Mohsen Amadipour and his wife Roja Azadian had planned to return home to Ottawa together, but Mohsen stayed behind after he was told his ticket was no longer valid.

His wife, 43, boarded the doomed Ukrainian Airlines flight PS752, which was shot down by Iranian missiles, killing all 176 people on board.

Mohsen learned of the crash from inside the Imam Khomeini International Airport in Tehran where he was waiting for another flight to join his wife in Canada.

“He was the lucky person who didn’t get on the plane,” said a friend of the grieving husband.

He stated that Mohsen had cancelled a portion of his trip because he incorrectly thought that trip between Tehran and Toronto was still valid, resulting in him being unable to board the plane.

Although it initially insisted that the plane’s engine caught fire and caused a loss of control, Iran has since said that it unintentionally shot down the flight.

Ukraine has demanded that those responsible pay compensations and be punished for the disastrous mistake.
