Sharjah opens key roads leading to Expo Centre ahead of International Book Fair

Date:

New roads are expected to ease congestion and improve access to the Sharjah International Book Fair venue.

Sharjah has completed several access roads leading to Expo Centre Sharjah ahead of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF 2026), aiming to ease congestion and provide smoother journeys for the thousands of visitors expected to attend the event.

The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) said the routes were ready in time for the opening of the international book fair, as part of efforts to improve traffic flow and make access to the exhibition venue easier.

The new road arrangements are designed to strengthen connectivity around Expo Centre Sharjah, a major venue for exhibitions and international events.

The authority highlighted key routes leading to the exhibition centre. An accompanying map shows connections around Al Corniche Road, Al Ittihad Road, Al Arab Mall and Industrial Area 7.

The initiative is intended to manage the expected increase in traffic during the book fair and make it easier for visitors to reach the venue.
