Apple Enthusiast Arrives With 53 Old iPhones to Collect Latest Duo in Dubai

Dubai Resident Brings 53 iPhones, From the Original Model to the 18 Pro Max, to Apple Store While Collecting Two New Apple Duos on Friday.

Dubai resident Mohammed Shakaa turned heads at an Apple Store when he arrived to collect his latest smartphones, bringing along an impressive collection of 53 older iPhones.

His collection, spanning from Apple’s original first-generation iPhone to the iPhone 18 Pro Max, accompanied him to the store after Apple employees contacted him a day earlier and invited him to showcase the devices.

Shakaa was visiting the store to collect two Apple iPhone Duos, adding the latest models to a collection he has spent nearly 20 years building.

For the Dubai resident, collecting iPhones is more than simply holding on to outdated technology. It is a long-standing passion and a personal challenge.

He carefully displays his collection at home, with some iPhone generations represented by multiple devices in different colours.

Shakaa explained that he owns almost every iPhone generation, from the original model to the iPhone 18 Pro Max.

While he also has a small number of smartphones from other manufacturers, including Motorola and Samsung, he said Apple has always been his primary interest.

Describing himself as a devoted Apple enthusiast, Shakaa said he enjoys witnessing the technological improvements introduced with each new generation.

From advances in camera performance and touchscreen technology to battery life and operating systems, he has followed the evolution of the iPhone over the years.

Originally from Karachi, Shakaa revealed that he had been closely tracking speculation surrounding Apple’s foldable smartphone for more than three years.

Even when the iPhone 18 series was unveiled, his attention was already focused on the company’s next major innovation.

When pre-orders for the Apple Duo opened, he successfully secured his devices after years of anticipation.

Shakaa expressed his excitement at finally receiving the foldable smartphone, describing the occasion as the fulfilment of a long-awaited wish.

The launch also marked another personal achievement for the Apple enthusiast.

For the third consecutive year, Shakaa was among the earliest customers waiting for a major Apple product release, completing what he described as his personal “hat-trick”.

Having achieved this milestone, he said he now hopes other Apple fans will have the opportunity to experience the excitement of being first in line.

However, his ambitions extend beyond product launches in Dubai.

Shakaa dreams of travelling to California to attend a future Apple launch event and securing the first position there.

He hopes the experience will allow him to demonstrate the dedication and enthusiasm that have driven his passion for collecting iPhones for nearly two decades.
