Rain-Bearing Clouds Could Affect Northern and Eastern UAE Areas Until Wednesday, With Foggy Conditions Also Expected.

Abu Dhabi: Parts of the UAE could experience rainfall between Saturday and Wednesday as convective clouds develop across the country, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). The weather authority has also warned that strong winds may cause blowing dust, while increased humidity could lead to fog formation during the night and early morning hours.
For Saturday, October 24, the NCM predicts generally fair to partly cloudy weather, with convective clouds likely to form over eastern and western regions during the afternoon. These clouds could produce rainfall in some areas, accompanied by a decrease in temperatures.
Humidity levels are forecast to rise overnight and continue into Sunday morning, particularly in certain coastal and inland locations. These conditions may result in fog or mist, potentially reducing visibility in affected areas.
Winds are expected to remain light to moderate across the UAE, occasionally strengthening as clouds develop and potentially causing dust to blow across exposed areas. Wind speeds will generally range between 10 and 25km/h, with gusts reaching up to 35km/h in coastal regions, 40km/h in inland areas and 45km/h in mountainous locations.
Saturday’s temperatures are forecast to range from 33°C to 37°C in coastal areas and on the islands, while inland regions could experience highs of 35°C to 39°C. Cooler conditions are expected in mountainous areas, where temperatures will range between 26°C and 32°C.
Sea conditions are likely to be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf, while the Oman Sea is expected to remain slight.
Rainfall remains possible across the UAE until Wednesday
Sunday, October 25: The UAE is expected to experience mostly fair to partly cloudy skies, with convective clouds developing over northern and eastern regions. These cloud formations could bring showers to some locations.
Humidity is forecast to increase during the night and continue into Monday morning, creating favourable conditions for fog or mist in parts of the coastal and inland areas.
Winds will initially blow from the southeast before shifting to the northwest, occasionally reaching speeds of up to 40km/h.
The Arabian Gulf is expected to experience slight to moderate sea conditions, while waters in the Oman Sea will remain slight.
Monday, October 26: Weather conditions are expected to remain largely unchanged, with convective clouds developing over northern and eastern parts of the UAE and bringing the possibility of rainfall.
Winds may strengthen periodically, with speeds reaching up to 50km/h, potentially raising dust and affecting visibility in exposed locations.
Humidity levels are also expected to rise during the night and into Tuesday morning, increasing the likelihood of fog or mist in some areas.
Sea conditions will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf, while the Oman Sea is forecast to remain slight.
Tuesday, October 27: Rainfall remains possible across northern and eastern regions as convective clouds continue to form, while other parts of the country are likely to experience generally fair to partly cloudy weather.
Winds could occasionally reach speeds of 50km/h, particularly near developing convective clouds, creating the possibility of blowing dust.
Humidity is forecast to increase overnight, with fog or mist potentially forming across some coastal and inland areas by Wednesday morning.
Waters in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are expected to remain slight.
Wednesday, October 28: Unsettled weather could continue in northern and eastern areas, where convective cloud development may lead to additional rainfall.
Winds blowing from the southeast to northeast are expected to range between 10 and 25km/h, occasionally strengthening to 50km/h and potentially causing dusty conditions.
Humidity levels are likely to rise overnight and persist into Thursday morning, especially in western coastal and inland regions, where fog or mist may develop.
Sea conditions are forecast to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology, the expected weather conditions are linked to the extension of a surface low-pressure system accompanied by a weak low-pressure system in the upper atmosphere.
