Emaar Unveils New Golf Destination in Dubai South with a Focus on Sustainability.
Dubai: Emaar Hospitality Group has officially launched Emaar South Golf Club in Dubai South, introducing a new championship-level golfing destination to the emirate’s expanding sports and leisure sector.
The golf club opened on October 5, 2026, becoming the hospitality group’s fourth golf facility. Designed by European Golf Design, the course measures 7,278 yards from the black tees and is intended to accommodate professional-level players, recreational golfers, beginners and families.
Hakan Keskin, Leader of Hospitality at Emaar Hospitality Group, described the launch as a significant achievement for the organisation.
“This is more than a new Golf Course; it is a thoughtfully designed destination that brings together championship-level sport, quality hospitality, and a strong sense of community,” Keskin said, according to ZAWYA.
Golf Facilities and Clubhouse Amenities
Emaar South Golf Club offers a range of facilities designed to support golfers of varying abilities.
The venue features a dedicated driving range, chipping greens and putting greens, giving players opportunities to practise their long shots, short game and putting skills.
A modern clubhouse provides additional amenities, including a reception area, changing and locker facilities, and a specialist golf retail outlet operated by E-Golf.
Visitors can also dine at an on-site restaurant managed by Maison Mathis.
The development includes ample guest parking, providing convenient access to the golf course and its supporting facilities.
Tournaments, Memberships and Golf Academy Plans
Emaar South Golf Club is set to host a variety of activities, including golf tournaments, member competitions, sporting events and corporate golf days.
As part of its future development plans, the club is expected to introduce membership packages and dedicated golf academy programmes to support players looking to improve their skills.
Sustainability Initiatives Introduced
The golf club has adopted environmentally responsible practices, including a ban on single-use plastic water bottles.
To support this initiative, drinking water refill stations have been installed throughout the facility, encouraging guests and golfers to use reusable bottles and reduce plastic waste.
A New Leisure and Social Destination in Dubai South
Beyond its championship golf facilities, Emaar South Golf Club aims to become a community gathering place, bringing together sports, dining and recreational experiences for residents and visitors.
Situated approximately 10 minutes from Al Maktoum International Airport, the club offers convenient access for both UAE-based golfers and international travellers.
As Dubai South continues to expand as a residential and lifestyle hub, the new golf club is expected to contribute to the area’s growing range of leisure and hospitality attractions.
