UAE Weather: Rain Possible as Temperatures Climb, Fog Forecast Through Weekend

Date:

Convective Clouds Could Bring Wednesday Rain, with Fog and Mist Expected Through Sunday.

Dubai: Rain could fall across parts of the UAE on Wednesday as temperatures climb, while some areas may experience fog and mist through the weekend, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Conditions on Wednesday are expected to remain generally fair to partly cloudy. Convective clouds could form over eastern and southern parts of the country during the afternoon, bringing a chance of rainfall. Temperatures are also forecast to rise.

Humidity levels are expected to increase overnight and into Thursday morning, particularly across some coastal and inland areas, increasing the possibility of fog or mist.

Winds will remain light to moderate but could occasionally strengthen, reaching speeds of up to 35 km/h. The conditions come as the UAE is influenced by a weak surface pressure system, accompanied by an extension of a weak upper-air low-pressure system.

Thursday is expected to remain fair to partly cloudy, with clouds forming over eastern parts of the UAE during the afternoon. Humidity will rise again overnight, increasing the chance of fog or mist across some coastal and inland areas by Friday morning. Winds may reach speeds of up to 30 km/h.

Similar weather is forecast for Friday, with generally fair to partly cloudy skies and clouds developing over eastern areas during the afternoon. Humidity overnight could once again lead to fog or mist in some coastal and inland locations on Saturday morning.

On Saturday, cloud formation over eastern parts of the country could intensify and become convective during the afternoon. Humid conditions are expected to continue overnight and into Sunday morning, bringing another possibility of fog or mist across some coastal and inland areas.

Sea conditions are forecast to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman throughout the period.
