Dubai-Sharjah traffic: Crashes and heavy congestion disrupt Monday commute

Date:

Dubai Police urge motorists to drive safely as congestion builds on major routes.

Motorists travelling across Dubai and Sharjah are facing heavy, bumper-to-bumper traffic on several major roads on Monday morning, with minor crashes and other incidents reported along key routes, including E311, E611 and D67, as well as roads in Sharjah.

The incidents, combined with heavy congestion along major routes connecting Dubai and Sharjah, are adding to delays for commuters during the morning rush hour.

Dubai Police issue safety reminder

Dubai Police have urged motorists to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead, particularly in heavy traffic.

Police reminded drivers that leaving sufficient space between vehicles provides more time to react to sudden braking or unexpected changes in traffic conditions.

Dubai Police also reminded motorists to check the back seat before walking away from their vehicles, stressing that the simple precaution could help save a child’s life.

Drivers are advised to plan ahead, allow additional time for their journeys and check live traffic updates before setting out.
