Drivers Urged to Reduce Speed and Follow Variable Signs as Dense Fog Hits.
Fog and poor visibility are affecting parts of Abu Dhabi on Wednesday morning, prompting authorities to advise motorists to drive carefully.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued a fog alert from 1am to 9am on September 30, warning of fog and mist across several areas. Visibility could fall below 1,000 metres in some affected locations.
In response to deteriorating visibility, Abu Dhabi Police has introduced a temporary speed limit of 80km/h on several roads. Drivers have been urged to monitor electronic information boards and comply with the variable speed limits displayed during foggy conditions.

- Sheikh Salama Bint Butti Road: Zayed City Bridge–Zayed City
- Umm Al Hosn Road: Liwa–Ghayathi
- Sheikh Hazza Bin Sultan the First: Zayed City–Ghayathi
- Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed International Road: Abu Al Abyad–Barakah
- Sweihan Road: Zayed Military City–Coopri Bridge
Motorists are advised to reduce their speed, maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead and follow all official traffic instructions while driving through fog-affected areas.
