Temperatures Could Reach 45°C on Wednesday Before Gradually Falling.
Dubai: Temperatures across the UAE are expected to gradually ease from Wednesday, while fog, mist and blowing dust could affect parts of the country through the weekend, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Wednesday is forecast to be fair to partly cloudy, with some cloud cover developing over eastern areas. Although temperatures will begin to fall gradually, daytime highs could still reach 45°C in some internal regions, the NCM said.
Humidity is expected to rise overnight and into Thursday morning across certain coastal and inland areas, increasing the possibility of fog or mist and potentially reducing visibility.
Temperatures are expected to range between 39°C and 45°C in internal areas, 34°C and 39°C across coastal areas and islands, and 29°C to 35°C in mountainous regions. Humidity levels could climb as high as 90 per cent in coastal and internal areas.
Winds will generally remain light to moderate but may strengthen at times. Speeds could reach 30km/h in coastal and internal areas and up to 35km/h in the mountains.
Convective clouds may develop on Thursday
Thursday is expected to remain fair to partly cloudy, with clouds forming over eastern parts of the UAE. Some of these clouds could become convective during the afternoon.
Humidity is forecast to increase overnight and into Friday morning across some western areas. Southeasterly to northeasterly winds may reach speeds of up to 35km/h, potentially causing blowing dust and reducing visibility in exposed areas.
Sea conditions are expected to range from slight to moderate in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Blowing dust expected on Friday
On Friday, skies will be partly cloudy, becoming cloudy at times over eastern and southern areas.
Winds could once again reach 35km/h, stirring up dust in some locations. Sea conditions will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Sea of Oman.
Fog and mist could return over the weekend
Saturday is forecast to be partly cloudy to cloudy across eastern and southern areas. Humidity will increase overnight and into Sunday morning over some coastal regions, raising the possibility of fog or mist.
Winds are expected to ease slightly, with speeds reaching up to 30km/h. Seas will remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
On Sunday, conditions will generally be fair to partly cloudy, although skies could turn cloudy at times over southern areas.
Humidity will rise again overnight and into Monday morning across some coastal and internal regions, creating another chance of fog or mist.
Winds will remain light to moderate, reaching speeds of up to 30km/h, while sea conditions are expected to stay slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
