One Day to Go: Dubai Passengers Can Soon Connect from the Metro to Etihad Rail.
Dubai: Tickets for Etihad Rail’s new Dubai-Abu Dhabi passenger service are now available, ahead of the launch of train operations from Dubai on September 30.
The service will link Al Yalayis Station in Jumeirah Golf Estates, Dubai, with Mohammed Bin Zayed City Station in Abu Dhabi, with the journey taking approximately 57 minutes.
Ticket sales initially opened on September 22 before bookings were temporarily paused. Passengers can now book their journeys again through the Etihad Rail website and mobile app.

Etihad Rail’s booking platform also lists a direct service from Dubai to Fujairah on September 30. The train is scheduled to leave Dubai at 1.57pm and arrive in Fujairah at 3.07pm, with a journey time of around 70 minutes.

Fares for travel between Dubai and Abu Dhabi start from:
- Comfort Class: Dh39
- Premium Class: Dh109
These are starting prices, and the final fare may vary depending on the ticket type selected and availability.
Passengers can choose from three fare options:
Saver: Best suited to passengers with fixed travel plans. Seats are automatically assigned, and complimentary seat selection is not included. Tickets cannot be changed or refunded.
Value: Includes complimentary seat selection and allows passengers to make changes, subject to the applicable fare conditions. Tickets are non-refundable.
Flex: Provides greater flexibility, with complimentary seat selection and the option to make changes. Refunds are also permitted, subject to the relevant cancellation conditions.

What is the difference between Comfort and Premium Class?
Comfort Class provides standard seating along with complimentary Wi-Fi, power outlets, USB charging points and dedicated luggage space. Passengers can also purchase food and beverages onboard.
Premium Class features wider reclining seats, extra legroom and padded headrests for added comfort. Complimentary drinks and snacks are included, while additional food is available for purchase.
Passengers travelling in either class have access to complimentary Wi-Fi and charging facilities.
