Etihad Rail launches Dubai-Abu Dhabi and Dubai-Fujairah routes, with fares starting from Dh39.

From September 30, Etihad Rail is scheduled to operate five daily services in each direction between Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Dubai-Fujairah tickets also available
Etihad Rail’s booking platform is also showing a direct service between Dubai and Fujairah from September 30.
The train is scheduled to leave Dubai at 1.57pm and reach Fujairah at 3.07pm, with a journey time of approximately 70 minutes.
How much do Dubai-Abu Dhabi Etihad Rail tickets cost?
Starting fares for travel between Dubai and Abu Dhabi are:
- Comfort Class: Dh39
- Premium Class: Dh109
Ticket prices may vary depending on the selected fare type and seat availability.
Passengers can select from three fare categories depending on how much flexibility they need:
- Saver: Best suited to travellers with confirmed plans. Seats are allocated automatically, and passengers cannot select their preferred seat. Tickets cannot be changed or refunded.
- Value: Includes free seat selection and permits changes in accordance with the relevant fare conditions. However, tickets are non-refundable.
- Flex: Provides the greatest flexibility, with complimentary seat selection and the option to make changes. Refunds are also permitted, subject to the applicable cancellation terms.

Comfort vs Premium Class: What do passengers get?
Comfort Class includes standard seating, free Wi-Fi, power outlets and USB charging points, along with dedicated luggage storage. Passengers can also purchase food and beverages during the journey.
Premium Class provides wider reclining seats, extra legroom and padded headrests for additional comfort. Complimentary snacks and drinks are included, while other food options are available for purchase.
Passengers in both travel classes have access to complimentary Wi-Fi and charging facilities.
How to book Etihad Rail tickets
Passengers can purchase tickets through the Etihad Rail website or mobile app. Ticket vending machines are also available at stations for passengers who prefer to book in person.
To book an Etihad Rail ticket online, passengers need to:
- Choose their departure and destination stations.
- Select the preferred travel date and train time.
- Choose between Comfort and Premium Class.
- Pick a Saver, Value or Flex fare.
- Provide the required passenger information.
- Select any available add-ons, including shuttle bus services or car rental.
- Check the booking details and complete payment by card.
Once payment is completed, the digital ticket can be accessed through the Etihad Rail app or mobile website and will also be sent to the passenger by email. Travellers who require a physical ticket can print one using the vending machines available at stations.
Tickets can be purchased until five minutes before the scheduled departure time, subject to seat availability.

Dubai’s Al Yalayis Station offers a range of passenger facilities, including:

Can passengers take a taxi to Al Yalayis Station?
Yes. Passengers can reach the station using taxi and ride-hailing services, including Uber, Careem and Hala Taxi.
Parking at Dubai Al Yalayis Station
Al Yalayis Station currently provides 265 parking spaces, including 260 spaces for conventional vehicles and five designated for electric cars.
Passengers are required to check parking availability while making their train reservation. Parking is priced at Dh30 for half a day, while the full-day rate is also Dh30.
Bus services to Al Yalayis Station
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will operate bus services connecting passengers to Al Yalayis Station. The nearby stop is called Jumeirah Golf Estates 1 (JGE).
The F38 bus route serves the station and provides connections to areas including Dubai Production City and Dubai Sports City.
Where is Etihad Rail’s Dubai station located?
Etihad Rail’s Al Yalayis Station is located in Jumeirah Golf Estates, near Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311).
The station is also accessible via E44 and D57 and provides convenient access for residents of surrounding communities, including Jumeirah Golf Estates, Al Furjan, Dubai Investment Park, Green Community, Dubai Production City, Expo City Dubai and Dubai South.
A pedestrian transfer bridge links Al Yalayis Station directly with Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station on the Dubai Metro Red Line, allowing passengers to connect between Dubai’s Metro system and the UAE’s national passenger rail network.
