Heavy traffic builds on E11 and feeder roads as commuters travel from Sharjah to Dubai.
Dubai: Monday morning traffic is intensifying on key routes linking Sharjah and Dubai, with significant congestion reported around Al Nahda, Sahara Centre and Al Qusais.
Motorists travelling from Sharjah towards Dubai are experiencing particularly slow-moving traffic along the Al Ittihad Road (E11) corridor.
Key congested areas
- Al Ittihad Road (E11): Heavy congestion is affecting motorists travelling from Sharjah towards Dubai, particularly near Al Nahda, Sahara Centre and Al Qusais.
- Al Nahda and Beirut Street: Traffic is building around the Sharjah-Dubai border, with delays extending along connecting routes towards Al Qusais.
- Industrial areas: Motorists are facing slow-moving traffic around Industrial Area 15, Muwaileh Commercial and Al Qusais Industrial Area.
- University City Road: Significant delays are reported near the University of Sharjah and around Muwaileh Commercial.
- Maliha Road: Heavy traffic is affecting key links towards E311, particularly near City Centre Al Zahia and Industrial Area 15.
Dubai roads largely flowing smoothly
Despite heavier congestion on routes between Sharjah and Dubai, traffic on several of Dubai’s major roads remains relatively smooth.
Other locations being monitored for traffic disruption include Al Jafiliya, Al Hudaiba, Muhaisnah 2, Sharjah Industrial Area 13, Al Ttay, Business Bay, Jebel Ali First and Al Barsha South Fifth.

Motorists commuting from Sharjah to Dubai should factor in additional travel time during the Monday morning rush. The most significant delays are concentrated around Al Nahda, Sahara Centre, Al Ittihad Road (E11) and Al Qusais.
Drivers are advised to check live traffic conditions before beginning their journey and use alternative routes where possible to avoid the busiest stretches.
