Abu Dhabi: Temperatures are expected to climb to as high as 46°C in some parts of the UAE on Saturday, while increased humidity could lead to fog or mist forming overnight and into Sunday morning, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.
The weather will remain generally fair, with partly cloudy skies at times. Light to moderate winds are also forecast across the country.
Inland areas are likely to experience the hottest conditions, with temperatures ranging between 41°C and 46°C. Coastal regions and islands can expect highs of 36°C to 41°C, while the mountainous areas will remain relatively cooler, with temperatures between 29°C and 35°C.
Humidity levels could climb to as high as 95 per cent in some coastal and inland areas, raising the likelihood of fog or mist forming late on Saturday and during the early hours of Sunday.
Winds are expected to remain light to moderate, blowing at speeds of 10 to 20km/h and occasionally reaching 30km/h. Sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are forecast to remain slight.
On Sunday, the UAE will continue to experience generally fair to partly cloudy weather, with clouds forming over eastern areas. Humidity is expected to increase again overnight and into Monday morning across some coastal and inland regions, creating another chance of fog or mist.
Winds will continue at 10 to 20km/h, occasionally reaching 30km/h, while conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman will remain slight.
By Monday, weather conditions could become somewhat more unsettled in eastern parts of the country, with clouds potentially turning convective during the afternoon. Humid conditions are expected to continue overnight and into Tuesday morning, bringing the possibility of fog or mist to some coastal and inland areas.
Winds may pick up slightly, with speeds reaching up to 35km/h at times. Despite this, sea conditions in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman are expected to remain slight.
On Tuesday, the UAE is expected to see fair to partly cloudy conditions, with clouds forming once again over eastern areas. Higher humidity overnight could lead to fog or mist developing in some locations by Wednesday morning.
Winds may reach speeds of up to 35km/h. Conditions in the Sea of Oman are expected to range from slight to moderate, potentially becoming rough at times late Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning.
A similar weather pattern is forecast for Wednesday, with generally fair to partly cloudy skies and clouds continuing to develop in the east. Fog or mist may return overnight and into Thursday morning across some coastal and inland areas.
The Arabian Gulf is forecast to remain slight, while the Sea of Oman could experience rough conditions at times during Wednesday morning before gradually easing to moderate or slight later in the day.
