Liwa temperatures could climb to 44°C as rising overnight humidity increases chances of fog and mist.
Dubai: The UAE is forecast to experience mostly fair weather on Friday, with partly cloudy conditions at times and a slight increase in temperatures, according to the National Center of Meteorology.
Humidity levels are expected to rise overnight and into Saturday morning in some coastal and inland areas, increasing the possibility of fog or mist formation.
Winds are forecast to remain light to moderate, while sea conditions are expected to be slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Temperatures are expected to remain high across the UAE, reaching 44°C in Liwa, 43°C in Al Ain, 42°C in Abu Dhabi and 41°C in Dubai. Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah could see highs of 40°C, while overnight humidity may climb to 90% in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ajman.
On Saturday, the weather is forecast to stay generally fair to partly cloudy. Humid conditions are expected to return overnight and continue into early Sunday, bringing another possibility of fog or mist over some coastal and inland areas.
Winds will shift between southeasterly and northeasterly at speeds of 10 to 20km/h, occasionally reaching 30km/h. Sea conditions are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Cloud cover is expected to increase from Sunday, with the NCM forecasting generally fair to partly cloudy conditions across the UAE. Clouds are likely to develop over eastern areas and could become convective during the afternoon. Humidity will remain elevated overnight, creating a possibility of mist in some coastal and inland locations.
Similar conditions are expected on Monday, with convective clouds potentially forming over eastern parts of the country during the afternoon. Fog or mist may develop overnight and continue into Tuesday morning, while winds could strengthen at times, reaching speeds of up to 35km/h.
