Meta launches new AI-powered glasses in UAE, priced from Dh1,160

Date:

Meta Glasses launch in UAE alongside new Ray-Ban model, with prices starting at Dh1,960.

Dubai: Consumers in the UAE can now order Meta Glasses for the first time, with prices starting at Dh1,160 following their local debut at Meta Connect 2026.

The UAE is among four new markets receiving Meta Glasses, alongside Singapore, South Korea and Mexico, expanding the product’s availability beyond existing markets in parts of Europe and Australia.

Meta has also opened UAE orders for Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3, the latest generation of its Ray-Ban AI glasses, with prices starting at Dh1,960. The new products join Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2 and Oakley Meta, which are already available in the UAE.

What UAE buyers can get

Meta Glasses are launching in the UAE in a range of styles, including a new Ivory colourway inspired by the Starfire design associated with Kylie Jenner.

Meta is also introducing a new Meta Glasses collection created in collaboration with LISA. The range includes the Meta Adventurer LISA Edition, featuring a Moonlit Sky frame with Blush lenses, and the Meta Capri LISA Edition, which combines an Eclipse cat-eye frame with grey lenses. Both models are compatible with prescription lenses.

Meta said the glasses continue to include existing privacy features, including a capture LED that flashes bright white whenever the wearer takes a photo or records a video, providing a visible signal to people nearby.

Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 is also available to UAE customers from today. The latest model features a slimmer design, a dedicated action button for faster access to Meta AI and other functions, and what the company says is the longest battery life yet offered on a Ray-Ban Meta model.

The new generation also introduces additional frame options, including Aviator and Zena.

Muse is coming to AI glasses

Meta also announced new updates to Muse, its personal AI agent. The service is currently available only in the US, Canada and Mexico, with plans to expand to additional markets.

The new Muse Realtime Avatar model enables users to hold video conversations with the AI assistant through real-time voice interactions, with a choice of customisable voices. Meta said Muse can continue working on tasks in the background while users interact with the assistant.

Muse can also operate apps directly on a Mac and has its own email address, allowing it to carry out tasks on behalf of users.

Meta plans to integrate Muse into its AI glasses, allowing users to turn conversations into actions, such as adding items to a shopping list, finding a convenient time to meet someone and sending an invitation. The company has not announced a launch date for Muse in the UAE.

Meta is also developing Muse Charm, a pocket-sized device designed to provide another way for users to speak and interact with the AI agent. The company said more details about the device will be announced later this year.

More glasses unveiled globally

Meta used Connect 2026 to unveil its broadest AI glasses line-up yet, with more than 100 styles across Ray-Ban, Oakley and Meta Glasses expected to be available by the end of the year.

The new products include Ray-Ban Meta Audio, the company’s first audio-focused glasses. Weighing 43 grams, the glasses offer up to 12 hours of use on a single charge, with the charging case providing up to an additional 48 hours of battery life.

The Audio range is available in Clubmaster and Burbank styles, offering 23 colour and lens combinations, with both models supporting prescription lenses. Meta said the glasses will initially launch in selected European markets, with no UAE availability announced at Connect.

Meta also unveiled Meta VR Glasses, which bring together virtual reality entertainment, workspace features and spatial computing. The glasses are scheduled to launch in spring 2027 across Quest markets, including the US, UK, Germany, France, Canada, Japan, Australia, Spain, Italy, South Korea, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

Meta Ray-Ban Display is also expanding into more markets, with sales beginning in Canada and the UK. Pre-orders are opening in France, Italy and Germany ahead of the product’s October 13 launch.
