Naif Police E-Scooter Patrol Tracks Suspects Through Busy Markets, Recovers Cash.

Dubai: Dubai Police apprehended three suspects in connection with the alleged theft of Dh190,000, recovering the entire amount just four minutes after the incident was reported. The swift operation was carried out by an electric scooter patrol from Naif Police Station.
The response was triggered after the Command-and-Control Centre at the General Department of Operations received a report of a theft in the Naif area. Information about the incident, along with descriptions of the suspects, was immediately circulated to police patrols operating nearby.
The electric scooter patrol arrived at the scene just two minutes after receiving the alert. Officers immediately began searching the surrounding area and managed to apprehend all three suspects within another two minutes.
Police also recovered the full Dh190,000 that had allegedly been stolen, finding the cash in the suspects’ possession.
Brigadier Omar Mousa Ashour, Director of Naif Police Station, said the swift arrest of the suspects and recovery of the stolen cash demonstrated the preparedness of police patrols and the efficiency of Dubai Police’s rapid response capabilities.
He added that Naif Police Station continuously oversees patrol operations and strategically deploys officers to ensure incidents are handled promptly, especially in high-traffic locations and busy market areas.
Ashour explained that electric scooter patrols are especially effective in areas with dense pedestrian movement and heavy traffic. Their compact design enables officers to navigate crowded markets and narrow streets more efficiently, reaching locations that may be difficult for conventional patrol vehicles to access quickly.
He added that Naif Police Station will continue enhancing its field operations with the aim of reducing response times and maintaining stronger security throughout the area.
