Dubai launches an AI-driven platform to automate registrations, simplify project management, and minimize paperwork.
Dubai: Developers in Dubai can now register real estate transactions, manage projects, and oversee escrow accounts through a single digital platform launched by the Dubai Land Department (DLD), as the emirate accelerates the use of AI across government services.
The “Initial Registration” platform brings project registration, real estate transaction registration and escrow account management together in a single digital process, reducing duplicate data entry and repeated document submissions, the DLD said.
The platform also uses artificial intelligence to scan documents such as Emirates IDs, passports and sales contracts, extract key information, and automatically populate application fields.
Transactions that meet the department’s business rules can also be approved automatically upon submission, helping to reduce processing times.
“As the market continues to expand and its needs evolve, we are developing a digital ecosystem that enables developers to manage projects and complete transactions more efficiently,” said Abdullah Ahmed Al Shehi, chief executive of DLD’s Real Estate Regulatory Agency.
“By leveraging artificial intelligence and strengthening integration among stakeholders, we are making it easier to do business while enhancing transparency and governance. These efforts will help build investor confidence and support Dubai’s long-term competitiveness,” he said.
AI handles paperwork
The launch comes as Dubai advances its broader government AI agenda. It follows an announcement by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, outlining a framework aimed at having half of UAE government sectors, services and operations run through autonomous, self-executing AI models, known as Agentic AI, within two years.
The platform guides users through a series of questions to determine the appropriate procedure and allows them to add missing information while an application is still open. This reduces the need to restart submissions due to minor omissions.
The DLD said the system is designed to reduce manual data entry, improve accuracy and increase the number of applications approved on their first submission.
Project 360
A feature called “Project 360” gives developers a consolidated view of their projects, covering unit status, escrow accounts, financial data and project records.
The feature also provides early-warning indicators to help identify potential issues and enable timely intervention.
The system gives developers, the DLD and banks managing escrow accounts greater visibility into procedural stages and responsibilities. Data can also be reused across connected systems, helping reduce discrepancies between sales, escrow and ownership records.
Multiple companies, one account
The platform allows developers to manage multiple companies and monitor their real estate projects through a single account. Users can be assigned different access permissions, including separate roles for submitting and reviewing transactions.
The DLD said this setup is designed to streamline workflows and strengthen internal oversight.
Implementation and user training were carried out in phases ahead of the full rollout, with workflows tested before the platform was launched.
The department said the platform is designed to reduce follow-up enquiries and manual data entry while accelerating transaction completion.
The launch is part of the DLD’s broader efforts to strengthen digital infrastructure as the number of real estate projects and transactions in Dubai continues to grow.
The initiative also supports the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033 and Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which place integrated digital services and data at the centre of Dubai’s long-term economic development and property-market growth.
