About 20,000 Dubai residents have already claimed travel benefits as programme capacity fills quickly.
DUBAI: Dubai residents have only a few days left to register for “A Dubai Invite”, after strong demand prompted organisers to expand the programme’s capacity three times since its launch.
The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) said registrations are nearing the programme’s final capacity, urging residents to apply before the remaining benefit packages are fully allocated.
Around 20,000 successful applicants have already received their benefits, with more participants expected to be confirmed as their invited visitors arrive in Dubai.
Launched on July 20, the programme allows Dubai residents to invite friends and family to visit the emirate. Once the invited visitors are verified, residents can access a range of benefits from participating hotels, attractions, restaurants and lifestyle destinations.
Noor Al Geziry, AVP, Special Projects and MENA at DET, said the strong response to “A Dubai Invite” demonstrated the important role residents play in promoting Dubai as a destination.
“The response to ‘A Dubai Invite’ has been incredibly positive, and it reaffirms that our residents are our greatest advocates,” she said.
She added that strong demand from residents had prompted DET to work with its partners to expand the programme’s capacity three times since its launch.
What Dubai residents need to know
Who can register: Residents whose invited friends or family members are scheduled to arrive in Dubai between July 20 and October 31, 2026.
How visitors are verified: Visitor arrivals are confirmed through a unified verification process supported by the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA – Dubai).
When benefits become available: Benefits become accessible once the invited visitor’s arrival has been verified.
How long the deals last: The benefits are valid until December 31, 2026, at participating venues.
Attractions included: Participating attractions include Aquaventure Waterpark, IMG Worlds of Adventure and Grand Hyatt Waterpark.
Restaurants included: Participating restaurants include Asia Asia, Ula, Papas, The 305 and Lock, Stock & Barrel.
Hotel benefits: Residents can access discounts and resort credits at participating hotels, including W Dubai Mina Seyahi, The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Waterpark, Melia Desert Palm and ME Dubai by Melia.
More hotel offers: Additional benefits are available at participating IHG Hotels & Resorts properties across Dubai.
Why the programme was launched: DET said the initiative recognises the important role residents play in encouraging friends and family overseas to visit Dubai.
Tourism focus: The programme supports Dubai’s efforts to grow the visiting friends and relatives (VFR) tourism segment.
Last chance to register: Registrations will remain open for the next few days, subject to availability of the remaining benefit packages.
