Wearing a dark blue kandura, UAE President walks through Lulu Hypermarket with its Managing Director MA Yusuff Ali.

Imagine doing your weekly grocery shopping and suddenly finding yourself face-to-face with the UAE President.
That was the unexpected experience for shoppers at Mushrif Mall in Abu Dhabi on August 11, when Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan made a visit, leaving many residents surprised to see him among the crowds.
The UAE President’s warmth and humility were on display as he greeted shoppers and residents, taking time to shake hands with those who gathered to welcome him.
Dressed in a dark blue kandura, he walked through Lulu Hypermarket at the mall alongside the hypermarket’s Managing Director, MA Yusuff Ali.
Shoppers also responded warmly to the President’s visit. In one video, a man wearing a white kandoura can be seen saluting Sheikh Mohamed, who smiles and responds by placing his hand over his chest in a warm gesture of appreciation.
On other occasions, he was also seen browsing the products and items on offer at the hypermarket.
Just last week, Sheikh Mohamed was seen in London alongside Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The two leaders warmly embraced when they met in the UK. In one video, Sheikh Mohammed was seen holding the Abu Dhabi Ruler’s wrist as they walked together into a hotel lobby.
Their warm interaction reflected the strong bond of unity, mutual respect and shared values that characterise the UAE’s leadership.
During the London visit, Sheikh Mohamed was also seen greeting members of the public, exchanging hugs and waving to groups who gathered at hotel lobbies and along the streets to catch a glimpse of the UAE President.
