UAE weather: Humid conditions, morning fog and cooler temperatures forecast from Sunday.
The UAE is expected to experience another day of intense summer heat on Friday, with temperatures forecast to climb to 49°C in inland areas, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Coastal and island regions are likely to record maximum temperatures between 39°C and 45°C, while mountain areas are expected to remain cooler, with temperatures ranging from 33°C to 38°C.
Weather conditions will be fair to partly cloudy at times, with low clouds likely to form over eastern parts of the country during the morning hours.
Light to moderate southeasterly to northwesterly winds are expected, moving at speeds of 10–20km/h and occasionally reaching 30km/h. These winds may cause dust to rise in open and exposed areas at times.
Sea conditions will remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman, resulting in generally calm conditions along coastal areas.
The NCM forecasts similar conditions on Saturday, with mostly fair skies across the UAE and low clouds continuing to appear over eastern regions. Humidity levels are expected to rise overnight and into Sunday morning, increasing the possibility of fog or mist developing in some coastal and inland areas. Winds will remain light to moderate, and sea conditions are expected to stay slight.
A gradual shift in weather is expected from Sunday, with temperatures likely to drop slightly in many parts of the country. Humid conditions will continue overnight and into Monday morning, with the possibility of fog or mist in low-lying areas. Winds may become stronger at times, reaching 35km/h, but overall conditions are expected to remain generally fair.
On Monday, clouds are expected to increase over eastern parts of the UAE during the afternoon. Humidity levels will rise again overnight and into Tuesday morning, creating the possibility of fog or mist in some coastal and inland areas. Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf are forecast to become slight to moderate, while the Sea of Oman will remain slight.
By Tuesday, the weather is expected to turn partly cloudy, with convective clouds likely to form over eastern and southern areas during the afternoon. These cloud formations may bring isolated rainfall, marking the first significant chance of showers during the four-day forecast period.
Winds are expected to strengthen at times, reaching speeds of up to 35km/h, while sea conditions are forecast to remain slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Sea of Oman.
