Dubai welcomes next-generation dual-frequency radiofrequency skin-tightening technology.
XERF was first introduced in South Korea in 2024 and later received clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2025. Since its launch, the technology has been adopted by more than 2,000 clinics globally and gained recognition from leading US dermatologists. Biolite Clinic is bringing the treatment to the region through a strategic partnership.

No anesthesia or needles required
XERF combines two radiofrequency technologies in a single treatment. The 6.78 MHz frequency works on the skin’s upper layers, supporting collagen remodelling to help improve texture and reduce the appearance of fine lines. The 2 MHz frequency penetrates deeper into structural tissues and fibrous support layers associated with skin lifting.
The treatment also features Wave Fit pulse technology and integrated cooling systems, which continuously monitor and regulate temperature during the procedure. These technologies are designed to protect the skin’s surface and deeper tissues while delivering controlled energy to the dermal layers.
The treatment requires no anesthesia, injections or recovery period, allowing patients to return to their normal activities immediately. Based on the level of skin laxity, specialists typically recommend one or two sessions, with a follow-up treatment usually scheduled two to three months later.
Results can continue for up to two years as newly formed collagen develops and matures. XERF is suitable for both men and women experiencing early to moderate skin laxity around areas such as the jawline, neck, face and body. It can also be considered by younger patients looking to maintain skin firmness or combined with injectables and other energy-based aesthetic treatments.
Physician-led assessment and specialist training
Every XERF treatment at Biolite Clinic begins with a consultation led by a physician, along with advanced imaging using the clinic’s 3D Aura camera. The technology captures facial mapping before treatment and tracks collagen development over time, providing measurable insights into results.
To maintain treatment standards aligned with leading practices in Seoul, Biolite’s medical team underwent specialised training with Melbourne-based Korean cosmetic physician Dr. Dae Hwan Kwon and Australian laser dermatologist Dr. Davin Lim. The training covered key aspects of XERF application, including energy layering techniques, anatomical assessment and treatment planning sequences.
