How UAE residents can nominate visitors for Dubai’s Dh3,000 reward initiative

With 19.5 million tourists visiting Dubai each year, the emirate continues to rank among the world’s leading tourism destinations, offering diverse experiences for every type of traveller.

Under the ‘A Dubai Invite’ initiative, UAE residents can nominate family members or friends to visit Dubai and unlock benefits worth more than Dh3,000. Residents must complete an online nomination form through the official Visit Dubai website to access the rewards.

How to nominate visitors

Residents can submit their nomination by providing the following details:

• Emirates ID information
• Date of birth
• Gender
• Email address

After confirming their personal details, residents can enter information about the visitor they wish to invite.

Visitor details required include:

• Full name
• Passport number
• Nationality
• Date of birth
• Gender
• Relationship with the UAE resident
• Expected month of arrival in Dubai

Once submitted, the nomination will be reviewed, and the visitor’s arrival will be monitored through authorised government systems.

Who can residents nominate?

Residents can nominate non-UAE residents travelling to Dubai on a valid tourist visa or those eligible for visa-on-arrival entry.

To qualify, visitors must arrive in Dubai between July 20 and October 31, 2026.

The programme is open to:

• UAE citizens and residents aged 18 years and above
• Holders of a valid Emirates ID

Residents can nominate multiple visitors, but only five nominations can be submitted at a time. Additional nominations can be made after completing the first submission. Each visitor can only be nominated once during the campaign.

Residents can submit nominations through the official Visit Dubai online form.

When will residents receive the rewards?

After the nominated visitor arrives in Dubai, the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) will verify the visit. The process is automated through government entry records, so residents do not need to take any further action.

Once the arrival is confirmed, eligible residents will receive an email containing details of their benefits package and instructions on how to redeem the offers.

Reward packages will be issued from August, and benefits can be used until December 31, 2026, unless individual offers have different validity periods.

Important things residents should know

• Registration closes on September 30, while nominated visitors can arrive until October 31 to qualify.
• Visitors must arrange their own flights, visas, accommodation and travel expenses.
• The initiative does not provide visa assistance.
• Residents can receive a maximum of three reward packages.
• Standard blackout dates and offer conditions may apply.

Dubai tourist visa options

Dubai offers several tourist visa options for international visitors. Citizens of more than 80 countries can access visa-on-arrival facilities, while GCC nationals can enter without a visa. GCC residents may apply for an e-visa, and transit visas of 48 or 96 hours are available for eligible travellers.

Visitors can also apply for single-entry or multiple-entry tourist visas, with processing generally completed within 48 hours. Tourist visas may be extended, with the total duration depending on the visa category and applicable rules.

Single-entry tourist visa

A single-entry tourist visa allows visitors to enter Dubai once and stay for 30 or 60 days. Applications can be submitted through approved airlines, hotels, travel agencies or authorised visa service providers.

Applicants generally require:

• A passport valid for at least six months
• A recent passport-sized photograph
• Health insurance

Processing usually takes around 48 hours. Once the visitor exits the UAE, the visa cannot be used for another entry.

• 30-day visa: Dh200
• 60-day visa: Dh300
• VAT: 5%

Multiple-entry tourist visa

A multiple-entry tourist visa allows visitors to enter and exit the UAE several times during its validity period. It is intended for tourism purposes and requires sponsorship or support from an authorised UAE tourism entity.

Fees

• 30-day visa: Dh300
• 60-day visa: Dh500
• VAT: 5%

Five-year multiple-entry tourist visa

The five-year multiple-entry tourist visa allows visitors to travel to the UAE repeatedly without requiring a host or guarantor. It is suitable for travellers visiting family or friends and allows stays of 30, 60 or 90 days per visit.

Visitors can stay for up to 90 continuous days at a time and may extend their stay, provided the total period does not exceed 180 days in a year.

Fees

• Dh3,713.50, including application and issuance fees and a Dh3,000 security deposit
