His family said Neill passed away with the same dignity and grace that defined his life.

Sam Neill, the acclaimed actor best known for his memorable roles in Jurassic Park and Peaky Blinders, has died at the age of 78. His family confirmed that the New Zealand-born star passed away on Monday, July 13, in Sydney, Australia, surrounded by his loved ones.
In a statement, his family said Neill died “with the dignity that has characterised his whole life”, describing his passing as sudden and unexpected while adding that he remained cancer-free. They also expressed their gratitude to the medical staff at St Vincent’s Private Hospital for their care and requested privacy as they mourn his loss.
The Jurassic Park actor revealed in April that he was cancer-free after undergoing treatment for stage-three blood cancer.
This is an updating story.
