Motorists are urged to plan extra time for their journeys and remain cautious on the roads.
Dubai: The Monday morning commute began with delays as multiple accidents and heavy traffic affected major roads across Dubai and Sharjah, according to Google Maps real-time traffic data.
In Sharjah, motorists faced heavy congestion on Emirates Road near Al Badee Suburb. Traffic was also building up following reported crashes on Maleha Street in the Industrial Area, Sharjah Ring Road and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road near National Paints.
In Dubai, traffic is moving slowly on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, while Al Ittihad Road is experiencing heavy congestion for motorists travelling towards the city. A crash on Ras Al Khor Road is also contributing to delays.
Authorities have advised motorists to allow additional travel time, drive carefully and stay updated on traffic conditions.
