Hot Weather to Continue Across UAE with Foggy Conditions and Strong Winds Expected

Date:

Overnight Fog Possible as Hot Weather and Afternoon Clouds Continue Across UAE.

The UAE is expected to experience partly cloudy conditions on Monday, with humid weather forecast overnight and into Tuesday morning in some coastal and inland areas, increasing the chance of fog or mist, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds will affect the country, ranging from 10 to 20km/h and reaching speeds of up to 30km/h at times. Sea conditions are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.

Temperatures will remain elevated across the UAE, with maximums expected to reach 46°C in Liwa, 45°C in Al Ain and Fujairah, 44°C in Abu Dhabi and 40°C in Dubai.

Humidity levels are forecast to rise overnight, reaching up to 90 per cent in Dubai and around 85 per cent in several other emirates, increasing the likelihood of humid conditions and possible fog formation.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) said similar summer conditions are expected to continue in the UAE over the coming days. On Tuesday, skies are forecast to remain partly cloudy, with clouds likely to develop over eastern areas during the afternoon. Humid conditions are expected overnight and into Wednesday morning, with the possibility of fog or mist in some coastal and inland areas.

On Wednesday, the weather is expected to be fair to partly cloudy, with a chance of convective clouds forming over eastern regions in the afternoon. Temperatures may rise slightly in some northern areas, while winds could strengthen at times, reaching speeds of up to 40km/h and causing blowing dust in exposed locations.

A similar weather pattern is expected on Thursday, with partly cloudy skies and the possibility of afternoon convective clouds developing over eastern and southern parts of the UAE. Winds may become fresh at times in areas affected by cloud activity, reaching speeds of up to 40km/h.

Sea conditions are forecast to remain slight to moderate in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
