Fair weather to persist this week, with fog, convective clouds and fresh winds expected.
Abu Dhabi: Fair to partly cloudy skies are expected across the UAE on Saturday, with temperatures climbing to 47°C in inland areas, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM). Humid conditions are likely to develop overnight and into Sunday morning, particularly along parts of the coast.
The NCM said light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds will prevail, becoming fresh at times over eastern areas. Wind speeds are expected to range from 10km/h to 25km/h, with gusts reaching up to 35km/h. Sea conditions will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and slight in the Oman Sea.
Temperatures are expected to range from 42°C to 47°C in inland areas, 37°C to 41°C along the coast and islands, and 32°C to 37°C in mountainous regions.
Looking ahead, fair to partly cloudy conditions are expected to continue on Sunday, with humid weather overnight and into early Monday bringing the possibility of mist in some coastal and inland areas. Winds will remain light to moderate, reaching speeds of up to 30km/h, while sea conditions are expected to remain slight.
On Monday, partly cloudy skies will persist, with increased humidity overnight and into Tuesday morning raising the chances of fog or mist across parts of the coast and interior regions.
By Tuesday, clouds are expected to build over eastern parts of the UAE during the afternoon, with the possibility of convective cloud formation. Humid conditions overnight may also lead to fog or mist in western coastal areas. Southeasterly to northeasterly winds are forecast to strengthen at times, reaching speeds of up to 35km/h, while sea conditions will remain slight to moderate.
On Wednesday, partly cloudy weather is expected to continue, with convective clouds potentially developing over eastern and southern areas in the afternoon. Winds may become stronger at times, reaching up to 40km/h, with blowing dust possible in some areas. Sea conditions are expected to remain slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in the Oman Sea.
