UAE residents from India and Bangladesh celebrate life-changing prizes in Big Ticket Series 288.

Dubai: Five expatriates from India and Bangladesh have celebrated a life-changing financial milestone after each won Dh1 million in Big Ticket’s Series 288, securing a combined Dh5 million in consolation prizes.
The latest winners include long-time participants who continued entering the monthly draws with hope over the years, as well as a first-time entrant whose lucky ticket delivered an unexpected fortune.
The winners said the prize money would help them reach important personal milestones, including supporting their families back home, clearing outstanding loans, and securing their financial future through savings.
First Big Ticket win
For Kerala expat Upendran Siju, the Dh1 million prize represents the culmination of nearly a decade of participation in the draw.
The 40-year-old operations in-charge, who has lived in the UAE for 20 years, first learned about Big Ticket through its website and recommendations from friends.
Siju has participated in the draw every month for the past nine years alongside a group of 20 people.
“I was extremely happy and surprised when I received the call,” Siju recalled.
He said his winning ticket number was chosen based on a feeling that it “simply felt lucky at the time.” The prize marks his first-ever Big Ticket win.
With his family currently living in India, Siju plans to use his share of the winnings to clear personal loans. The victory has also encouraged him to continue taking part, and he has already purchased his ticket for the next draw.
“Keep trying. Not winning today does not mean you will never win.”
27-member group
Another winner, Sivaprasad Raveendran, has been living in the UAE for 29 years and has participated in Big Ticket draws for the past 12 years.
The 50-year-old oil and gas supervisor from Kerala has entered the monthly draws alongside a group of 27 people.
After years of anticipation, Raveendran has finally celebrated his first Big Ticket win.
“I was incredibly happy. The prize money will be shared among our group, and I plan to use my share to support my family back home, especially my daughter, who is currently studying in Kerala,” Raveendran said.
He also confirmed that he will continue participating in Big Ticket draws and encouraged others to keep trying.
“Everyone should take part every month. One day, you could be the person who wins,” he added.
First-time participant
For Akhil NB, the life-changing moment arrived with his very first Big Ticket entry.
The 32-year-old Kerala native, who works as an airport team leader, has been living in the UAE with his family for the past four years.
After discovering Big Ticket through its website, he decided to enter the draw with five friends. While selecting his ticket, he shuffled through different number combinations until he found a sequence that caught his attention.
“At first, I couldn’t believe it. I personally checked the Big Ticket website, and once I confirmed it was real, I was extremely happy,” NB said.
He plans to invest his share of the prize money as future savings while continuing to take part in upcoming draws.
“Give it a try, and your luck could change.”

Bangladesh national Mohammad Atik Hasan also celebrated a major win after his ticket number 359685 was selected as a winner.
