Geekay Group Strengthens Global Esports Ambitions After Securing 10 Spots at Esports World Cup 2026

Strengthens Geekay Group’s commitment to one of the world’s fastest-growing sports industries.

Geekay Group, one of the Middle East’s leading gaming and entertainment companies, has announced a major milestone in its esports journey, with Geekay Esports qualifying across 10 titles for the Esports World Cup 2026.

The achievement represents another key step in Geekay Group’s long-term ambition to establish a world-class esports organisation from the MENA region. Through continued investment in top-tier players, coaching talent, performance infrastructure and competitive operations, Geekay Esports has grown into one of the region’s leading multi-title esports organisations, competing against the world’s best on the international stage.

With qualifications already secured in Apex Legends, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Honor of Kings, Fortnite, PUBG: Battlegrounds, Call of Duty: Warzone, MLBB Women’s Invitational, PUBG Mobile, Overwatch 2 and Rainbow Six Siege X, Geekay Esports has earned the chance to compete for nearly $19.3 million in tournament prize money.

The organisation will also take part in the Esports World Cup Club Championship, which offers an additional $30 million prize pool. The championship ranks clubs based on points earned across multiple titles to determine the world’s top-performing esports organisation.

These achievements have placed Geekay Esports among the top 10 organisations worldwide in the current Esports World Cup Club Qualification Rankings, highlighting its consistency across a range of competitive titles. With qualification campaigns still underway in three more games, Geekay Esports continues to expand its global presence ahead of the tournament in Paris this July and August.

Esports has rapidly grown into one of the world’s fastest-expanding sports industries, attracting hundreds of millions of fans worldwide and generating billions of hours of digital engagement every year. Much like traditional sports clubs competing across multiple disciplines, modern esports organisations are increasingly judged by their ability to deliver consistent performances across a wide range of games.

Geekay Group has embraced this approach by developing a multi-title esports organisation built to compete at the highest levels of international competition.

“When we invested in Geekay Esports, we weren’t simply building competitive teams — we were investing in the future of sport,” said Kishan Deepak Palija, CEO of Geekay Group. “Esports has evolved into a global industry that rivals traditional sports in terms of audience engagement, commercial opportunities and international reach. Our goal has always been to create an organisation capable of competing with the very best in the world.

“Qualifying across 10 titles for the Esports World Cup 2026 is a significant milestone, but it is only the start. We remain focused on developing world-class talent, expanding our competitive presence and establishing Geekay Esports as a globally recognised esports organisation.”

As Geekay Esports prepares for the Esports World Cup 2026, the organisation continues to show how a company with roots in retail can successfully transform into a global player in competitive gaming.

Through strategic investment, strong operational capabilities and a commitment to long-term growth, Geekay Group is playing a role in shaping the future of esports, taking its ambitions from the Middle East to the global stage.
