Cooler UAE conditions ahead as temperatures drop and fog develops

Abu Dhabi: The UAE is set to experience generally fair weather on Tuesday, with temperatures expected to gradually ease, especially across western regions, according to the National Centre of Meteorology.

Humidity levels will rise overnight and into Wednesday morning in some coastal and inland areas, bringing the possibility of fog or mist. Winds will remain light to moderate, occasionally strengthening and causing blowing dust in western parts of the country during the day.

The NCM said winds will blow from the southwest to northwest at speeds of 10 to 25 km/h, occasionally strengthening to reach up to 40 km/h.

The Arabian Gulf is expected to be slight to moderate, turning rough at times in western areas. The first high tide will occur at 6:22pm, followed by the second at 5:18am. The first low tide is expected at 8:11am, with the second at 3am.

The Sea of Oman will remain slight. The first high tide will be at 5:14am, while the second will occur at 3:33am. The first low tide is expected at 7:21pm, followed by the second at 9:08pm.

Temperatures are forecast to climb to 41°C in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah, while Ras Al Khaimah and Al Ain could see highs of 44°C. Liwa and Al Sila are expected to record the highest temperatures at 45°C. Fujairah may reach 37°C, while Greater and Lesser Tunb islands are forecast to see highs of 35°C.

Humidity will remain elevated across several areas, reaching up to 85 per cent in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Dalma and the Tunb islands, and up to 90 per cent in Fujairah and Abu Musa.

On Wednesday, the UAE will experience fair to partly cloudy conditions, with cloud cover increasing at times during the night over eastern and northern areas. Humidity will rise overnight and into Thursday morning in some coastal and inland regions, with a possibility of fog or mist. Winds may pick up and stir dust in western areas, reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h.

Thursday’s weather is expected to remain fair to partly cloudy, with occasional cloudiness and humid conditions developing overnight and into Friday morning, particularly over northern coastal areas. Winds will stay light to moderate, becoming stronger at times in western regions, while the Arabian Gulf could turn rough at times in the west.

By Friday, the UAE is expected to experience fair to partly cloudy conditions, with cloud cover increasing at times. Winds will be light to moderate, blowing from the southwest to northwest and occasionally strengthening, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h and reaching up to 35 km/h. The Arabian Gulf will be slight to moderate, while the Sea of Oman will remain slight.
