Low cloud cover is expected over the east coast before stronger winds return over the weekend.

Dubai: Temperatures are expected to climb to as high as 47°C inland across the UAE in the coming days, while fresh winds are forecast to lift blowing dust from the weekend, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
The NCM said today’s weather will be generally fair, with low clouds forming over the east coast. Winds will be light to moderate, shifting between south-westerly and north-westerly, and may strengthen at times up to 35 km/h.
Inland areas are expected to see temperatures ranging from 41°C to 47°C, while coastal regions may record highs between 37°C and 42°C. Sea conditions are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
From Friday through Saturday, fair weather conditions are expected to persist, with low cloud cover continuing along the east coast. Temperatures are set to rise, especially in inland areas on Friday, while winds will shift between north-westerly and south-easterly directions at times, reaching speeds of up to 30 km/h.
On Sunday and Monday, winds are expected to strengthen to up to 40 km/h, which may lead to blowing dust in exposed areas. Monday is forecast to remain generally fair, with occasional partly cloudy conditions over eastern regions. Sea conditions are expected to turn slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf, while the Oman Sea will remain slight.
