A tour of the UAE’s first fully completed passenger station in the new rail network.

With its sleek cream and grey exterior and subtle touches of red, the station features an open-plan reception area designed to welcome travelers instantly, along with a premium lounge fitted with plush seating. Carefully and thoughtfully planned, Etihad Rail’s first passenger station in Fujairah was showcased during an exclusive media tour, offering a first look at one of the region’s most anticipated projects.
The uniform grey and cream palette continues throughout the station, and upon entry passengers will find automated barriers on one side leading up to the platforms.
Adjacent to the entrance is an information desk to assist travelers. Nearby, a large map displays the full Etihad Rail route, marked with icons highlighting key landmarks such as airports, the Burj Khalifa, and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. Large digital screens provide real-time details on train timings, destinations, and platform information, making it easy for passengers to navigate their journeys.
On one side, ticket vending machines are available for passengers who prefer to book at the station. Travelers can choose between one-way and return tickets. For those in a hurry, a quick booking option allows selection of just the date and time, while those with more time can pick their seats and add-ons before confirming their journey.

Clear signboards guide passengers toward taxi pick-up points, parking areas, and facilities such as toilets and prayer rooms. The station also features clearly marked pathways to ensure accessibility and ease of movement for people of determination.
Once passengers pass through the automated barriers, they can head up to the platform to board the train. With long, floor-to-ceiling windows, the platform is filled with natural light and feels bright and open, offering beautiful views of the Hajar Mountains and the sea.
The open platforms are equipped with information screens displaying train details, along with large analogue clocks to clearly indicate the time.
The Fujairah Station is the first fully completed passenger station in the Etihad Rail network, with an approximate footprint of 51,900 sqm, constructed using over 20,800 cubic metres of concrete and more than 2,270 tonnes of steel.

According to an Etihad Rail spokesperson, the station’s location in Al Hilal City was strategically chosen. It is just 12 minutes from Fujairah International Airport by car, eight minutes from Fujairah city, five minutes from Sakamkam Fort, and six minutes from Umbrella Beach.
Once the station becomes fully operational, it will feature retail outlets and additional attractions, transforming it into a destination in its own right. For many visitors, the Etihad Rail passenger station will serve as their first impression of Fujairah, positioning it as a gateway to everything the emirate has to offer.
