Employees in Saudi Arabia are entitled to up to 15 days of paid leave to perform Hajj.

Employers have the discretion to decide how many employees can be granted leave each year.

Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development stated that employees in Saudi Arabia are entitled to paid leave of up to 15 days to perform Hajj, in line with labour regulations in the Kingdom.

The ministry clarified that eligible employees may take between 10 and 15 days of paid leave, including the Eid al-Adha holiday, provided they have completed at least two consecutive years of service with their employer.

It added that Hajj leave can be granted only once during an employee’s tenure, and only if they have not previously performed the pilgrimage.

The ministry added that employers have the discretion to decide how many employees may be granted leave each year, depending on operational requirements.
